OLMO COLLECTION

OLMO

Olmo is an early twentieth-century carpenter’s workbench in solid elm, preserved in its original structure and reimagined as a kitchen element.

Recovered from a carpenter in Modena nearing retirement, it carries the marks of long use: cuts, stains, and the original wooden and iron vise still in place.
Nothing is concealed.

A ceramic basin is inserted into the surface, shifting the function without altering the identity of the object.
What was once a place of making becomes a place of use.
